The week commencing 11th February is Orientation Week at Wesley Institute. During this week there will be orientations for many types of students such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Study Abroad and International students. During Orientation new students learn about studying at Wesley, find their way around campus, meet their peers, enrol for classes and prepare for Higher Education studies with an academic tune-up.

Chapel and Church

Each week we have an all-school chapel called The Gathering. It is a chance for students and staff to meet together as a community of believers. Good music, good ministry and good fun are the order of the day! Every department has a chance to take a whole chapel service once a semester. This can result in some interesting times. Important announcements are often made in Chapel and this is another reason to be part of this unique Institute experience.

Students are also encouraged to be active members of a local church while at Wesley. This may be your home church or you may have to find a new "home away from home" church. We encourage out of town students to join one of the Wesley Mission congregations – the evening service always has a variety of opportunities for ministry.

Good Form

Student life involves the filling in of many forms – forms for when you are sick, forms for when you change classes, forms for when you are off campus, forms for extensions for assignments, and forms for things you don’t even know about. It is essential that you understand which forms you need to fill in for what. By not filling in the correct forms you may miss out on fees assistance, or fail a class instead of withdrawing. The A-Z of Student Life, which you will receive at camp, will help you find your way through the maze of administration. You will be guided through the most common forms by the Administration Staff.
