WI Staff ROCKS On Screen

Wesley Institute lecturer, Grenville Kent, is in high demand as an international speaker, prolific writer and film maker. Recently returned from filming in Israel, Grenville Kent has been featured as a ‘talking head’ on a new documentary series entitled ‘Can You Believe the Bible?’, due to be released in the States later this year.
Produced by L.A. evangelist John Carter, ‘Can You Believe the Bible?’ is a documentary investigating the historical and archaeological case for the reliability of Old Testament history as well as Old Testament messianic predictions. To put it simply, it supports the position that the Christian story, right back to Abraham, is historically solid. Great news for believers, compelling evidence for seekers – and presented by our very own Grenville Kent. Grenville’s expertise and dynamic insight into Old Testament narrative and archaeology will be on display as he guides audiences through ancient sites and discusses recent archaeological discoveries, some of which provide ‘rock solid’ evidence for the existence of David as a historical King.
“Archaeological dynamite! Some scholars claimed King David never really existed, but here's a clear mention of him, written not by a biased friend but by an enemy! This stone plaque by the Aramean king named Hazael boasts that the storm god helped him kill kings from the House of David - or 'bayit David' if you can read the Aramaic script. (Hint: start right, go left.) The Bible records this story from the other side in 2 Kings 8:28-29. Other inscriptions about David have since been found in Egypt and Moab.”

Wesley Institute is privileged to have experts on the world stage, such as Grenville, and looks forward to the coming documentary series, propelling the faith into the next generation.
