Crooning before they cruise

The Wesley Institute Choir is offering a unique opportunity: come and taste the aural flavours of what will soon be music to the ears of an eclectic European audience.
The choir is performing a one-off farewell concert before embarking on their three week European tour which includes competing in the Vienna Youth Choral Festival on 8 July.
A selected mix of classical and sacred including Locus iste; Tides of Ocean; Dir; Waltzing Matilda and Song of Exaltation. Some of these pieces will comprise the choir’s competition performance, others, such as In That Great Getting' Up Morning and O The Blood will be performed in different concert venues or sacred spaces in Europe. The choir’s showcase piece, Bogoroditsye Dyevo (Ave Maria) by Sergei Rachmaninov, will be performed as part of the competition and also at a service in St Mark’s Basilica in Venice.
The one hour concert begins at 8pm tomorrow night. Make the most of this chance to hear the exceptional talent of this group before they depart.
